September 28, 2016 – Hundreds of residents from the 10 beneficiary barangays of the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) Road project “Concreting of Del Carmen to Malbug Road – Phase 1” availed the services offered by various national, regional, provincial and municipal government agencies during the Serbisyo Peace Caravan held on Wednesday, 28 September 2016 at Cawayan, Masbate.

The beneficiary barangays are Taberna, Lague-Lague, Pulot, Cabayugan, Mactan, San Vicente, Pena Island, Guinluthangan, San Jose and Mambucay. The peace caravan started with the ribbon cutting of the completed Phase 1 PAMANA project. Among the highlights of the program are the turnover of the project by OPAPP and DILG to PLGU Masbate and LGU Cawayan, and the release of the last tranche amounting to Php 9M.

The services provided include free deworming vaccination for carabaos, buntis kit for pregnant women, free birth certificate proccessing, free circumcision, application for police clearance, free medical checkup and provision of medicines, dental checkup, extraction and pasting, provision of 2 kls rice per family, free fertilizers and seedlings, BP and sugar testing, provision of PAMANA umbrellas, foldable fan and eco bag, tax declaration payments, Senior Citizen ID Processing, CCT, etc.

OPAPP Director Susan Marcaida attended the peace caravan and talked about updates on Duterte administration’s peace agenda. She also discussed PAMANA and its implementation in partnership with LGUs and national agencies. The peace caravan was led by LGU Cawayan in partnership with OPAPP, DILG, DOH, Provincial Agriculture Office, MSWD, MHO, PHO, PNP, AFP 9th IBPA, MAO, Mun. Assessors Office, PSWDO, PPDO, PEO, MEO, DENR, DPWH, Philippine Dental Association, Office of the Municipal Administrator, and Office of the Governor.
