The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) has been awarded the Certificate and Seal of Registration for Data Privacy by the National Privacy Commission (NPC). All Data Processing Systems were successfully registered with the NPC, with OPAPRU Executive Director Andres S. Aguinaldo, Jr. serving as the Agency’s Data Protection Officer.
This milestone is a testament of OPAPRU’s unrelenting efforts to effectively embed trust and accountability through the institutionalization of data and information security protocols in all facets of the implementation of the comprehensive peace process.
To this end, the Certificate and Seal of Data Privacy symbolizes a renewed commitment to strengthen overall responsiveness to increasing public concerns about personal data, and serves as an inspiration to pursue adaptive and robust data protection measures, as the Agency treads the path towards a just and lasting peace for all.
