Peace adviser welcomes issuance of IRR for PBMM amnesty proclamations

PASIG CITY – Presidential Peace Adviser Sec. Carlito G. Galvez, Jr. welcomed the National Amnesty Commission’s (NAC) issuance of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) for the amnesty proclamations that were officially adopted by the body on March 14, 2024.

“We congratulate the NAC for releasing the IRR for Amnesty Proclamation Nos. 403, 404, 405, and 406 that were issued by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. We are very pleased with this development,” Galvez said.

“With the issuance of the IRR, former rebels who have turned away from armed struggle and laid down their arms will be able to complete their normalization and transition to mainstream society as peaceful, productive and law-abiding citizens,” he noted. (more…)

BARMM, transforming into “The land of promises fulfilled”

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (08 MAY 2024) — The national government hailed the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) as an emerging commercial and investment hub, and is turning into “the land of promises fulfilled.”

This was the consensus during the 18th Intergovernmental Relations Body (IGRB) meeting held here on Wednesday, May 8, wherein the socioeconomic gains achieved by the BARMM over the years were lauded and attributed to the activation of seven mechanisms under the body. (more…)

OPAPRU awarded DPO/DPS Seal of Registration and NPC certification for Data Privacy

OPAPRU leads turn over of renovated Madrasah in Pikit

BRGY. KABASALAN, PIKIT CLUSTER II, SGA BARMM — In a show of unity and commitment to promoting education and peace-building, the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) through the Joint Peace and Security Committee (JPSC), together with the secretariats of the Government Peace Implementing Panel (GPIP) and the Joint Normalization Committee (JNC), spearheaded on March 6 the turn-over of a recently renovated Madrasah here.

This collaborative effort is among the initiatives under the Brigada Madrasah Project, which is in line with the 10th year anniversary celebration of the signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB). (more…)
