President Marcos graces BTA inauguration; vows to push forward Bangsamoro peace process under the administration’s banner of unity
COTABATO CITY (15 September 2022) – As part of his administration’s continuing efforts to unite the country’s two major Moro fronts, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. graced on Thursday the inaugural session of the new Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA).
It was a historic moment and a major milestone for the Bangsamoro peace process as the top leadership of the MILF and MNLF – MILF Chairman Ebrahim Murad, MNLF founding chair Nur Misuari sat beside the President in a show of solidarity. Other high-ranking MNLF leaders, including Chairman Muslimin Sema who is also BARMM labor minister, former Deputy Speaker Abdulgani ‘Gerry’ Salappudin, former MNLF Leader, attended the occasion in a show of solidarity.
