Army Governance Forum

Presidential Peace Adviser Secretary Jesus Dureza and Assistant Secretary for Peace and Security Affairs Dickson Hermoso graced this year’s Army Governance Forum at the Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. The first part of the forum focused on the peace agenda of the Duterte administration. Asec. Hermoso presented the updates on the peace process with the Bangsamoro and the Communist Party of the Philippines. He also stressed that the peace negotiations is only one of the important elements of the government’s comprehensive peacebuilding efforts. There are other equally significant concerns that need to be attended to such as building peace constituencies and addressing the immediate needs of conflict-affected and fragile areas. #TayoAngKapayapaan
