The Department of Agriculture turned-over agricultural equipment to the farmers of the six acknowledged Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) camps in ARMM on Thursday, 09 February 2017 in Camp Darapanan, Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

Director Carlos Sol Jr., OIC Chair of the GPH Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities, witnessed the event and expressed his appreciation to the GPH and MILF’s effort in making peace possible. “Dati-rati nagpuputukan yung Gobyerno at MILF, pero sa ngayon masaya ako na we are partners in making peace and in developing our conflict-affected areas,” he said.

The MILF camps namely Camp Abubakar, Camp Bushra, Camp Bilal, Camp Bad’r, Camp Omar and Camp Rajamuda were represented by Abraham Pino (Camp Abubakar), Cairodin Amerol (Camp Bushra), Ibrahim Mohammad (Camp Bilal), Sulon Atong (Camp Bad’r), Salahudin Dicay (Camp Omar) and Abdulraham Kuta (Camp Rajamuda).
