September 20, 2016 – PEACE TALK CAMPUS TOUR IN DAVAO. The Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process held its second leg of Peace Talk Campus Tour in the Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU). The activity aims to deepen the engagement of the youth and the academe in the Philippine peace process. Students and faculty members from ADDU as well as other colleges in Davao participated in the event. Father Joel Tabora, GPH Implementing Chair Irene Santiago, GPH Panel Member Atty. Angela Librado Trinidad, and OPAPP Communications Head Patmei Bello Ruivivar were the key resource persons of the campus forum. The Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process or OPAPP is the office mandated to oversee, coordinate, and integrate the implementation of the comprehensive peace process. The agency was created through executive order no. 125, s. 1993 which was later amended in 2001 with the signing of executive order no. 3, s. 2001 as a reaffirmation of the government’s commitment to achieving just and lasting peace through a comprehensive peace process.
