Gov’t peace panel meets with Filipino community in Netherlands

Government peace panels in talks with the CPP/NPA/NDF met and talked with the Filipinos based in Netherlands on 3 April 2017. The Filipinos community also vowed to support the peace process by volunteering to be a peace ambassador.

Socio-economic turnover

“Dapat gawin natin na lahat – kababaihan, mga kabataan, lahat tayo ay kasama sa kaunlaran,” GPH Peace Implementing Panel Chair Irene M. Santiago during the turnover of various socio-economic infrastructures on 3 April 2017 in Butig, Masiu, and Lumbayanague, Lanao del Sur.

The turnover project include level II water system, solar dryer with warehouse and rice mill, concrete pathways, box culverts, support to vegetable and inland fishpond production, and Alternative Learning System (ALS) to recipient barangays in the said municipalities.

These projects are part of the confidence-building programs jointly undertaken by the Government and the MILF in compliance to the Annex on Normalization of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro, and funded by the Mindanao Trust Fund-Reconstruction & Development Program (MTF-RDP).

Turn-over of TJRC Land and Listening Process Reports.

Ambassador of Switzerland to the Philippines Andrea Reichlin turned over the Transitional Justice and Reconciliation (TJRC) Land and Listening Process Reports to Sec. Jesus G. Dureza today at OPAPP main office in Pasig City.

The Annex on Normalization of the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB) signed on 25 January 2014 provides for the creation of the TJRC, an independent body mandated to study and formulate recommendations on issues related to the legitimate grievances, historical injustices, human rights committed against the Bangsamoro.#TayoAngKapayapaan

It is hosted by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process and co-sponsored by Ekta Parishad (India) and CESCI (Switzerland).

Signing of the Terms of Reference of the Government and Moro Islamic Liberation Front Peace Implementing Panels were signed by Chairpersons Irene Santiago and Mohagher Iqbal with the new Malaysian Facilitator and/or Special Adviser Dato’ Kamarudin Bin Mustafa, on 21 March 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ceremonial Turnover of Livelihood Assistance to 127 Decommissioned Combatants in Camp Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

Agricultural interventions turned over for the 127 decommissioned combatants from Maguindanao and North Cotabato

The livelihood assistance include 103 heads of carabao w/ implements, 83 heads of cattle, goats, poultries, rice and corn seeds, rubber and fruit seedlings and fertilizers. The remaining 18 of the total 145 decommissioned combatants will receive their assistance from Region 10. #TayoAngKapayapaan
